ART AS A CATALYST FOR CIRCULAR FASHION
A new chapter opens in our sustainable innovation journey: Regenesi is a partner of the CirculART 4.0 project, launched yesterday at the Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte, in collaboration with the Material Innovation Lab (MIL) of the Kering group.
The Advisory Board includes Christian Tubito (Material Innovation Lab Director Kering), Maria Fernanda Hernandez (Global Sustainability Expert and Sustainability Director Temera), Matteo Magnani (Senior Policy Analyst Ellen MacArthur Foundation), Cecilie Thorsmark (CEO Copenhagen Fashion Week), Sara Sozzani Maino (Creative Director Sozzani Foundation), Michelle Francine Ngonmo (Founder and CEO Afro Fashion Association and Black Carpet Awards), Jalaj Hora (founder and CEO of Synthegrate, former Global Vice President of Product Innovation and Consumer Creation Nike), Gabi Scardi (art historian and curator).
The project involves artists Camilla Alberti, Giulia Filippi, Mako Ishizuka, together with fashion designers Francesca Basta, Martina Boero and Piero D’Angelo.
This project, inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s vision of the “Third Paradise”, represents much more than a simple collaboration for us. It is the confirmation of our belief that art is an essential transformative element in the path towards a truly circular fashion.
Art, in our DNA as sustainable innovators, plays a fundamental role: it breaks the mold of the existing to create new #aesthetics of circularity, transforms recycled materials into objects of desire, and creates deep emotional connections with those who choose our products. It is not just about giving new life to materials, but about reinventing the very concept of sustainable beauty.
In this dialogue between art and circular fashion, we see the opportunity to elevate sustainability from the alternative choice to a new paradigm of conscious luxury. Through artistic creativity, we are writing a new chapter in the history of sustainable fashion, where innovation, beauty and environmental responsibility merge into a single vision.
